Corporate Travel Management | Personal Service, No Account Fees
Big corporate travel firms give you a portal and a ticket queue. We give you a person. One consultant who knows your travellers, your routes and your preferences, on call when plans change.
The corporate travel problem, honestly stated
If your business flies people internationally a few times a month, you live in an awkward gap. The giant travel management companies want minimum spends and charge account fees for the privilege of a portal and a chatbot. Booking sites leave your office manager untangling a cancelled Singapore connection at 11pm. Neither knows that your sales director always needs an aisle seat and a hotel near Nariman Point.
We built our corporate service for that gap: businesses large enough to travel seriously and small enough to deserve better than a queue number.
What you get with an A1 Travels corporate account
- One named consultant. The same person books every trip, knows every traveller's preferences, seating, meals and frequent flyer numbers, and answers when you call.
- Wholesale fares on your routes. The same unpublished economy and business fares we are known for, applied to your regular city pairs. On frequent routes like Sydney to Mumbai or Melbourne to Singapore, this compounds fast.
- Changes handled for you. Meetings move. We rebook, reroute and chase the airline so your people never stand in a service queue in a foreign terminal.
- Hotels and transfers in the same booking. One itinerary, one confirmation set, hand-picked hotels near where your people actually need to be.
- Clean paperwork. Consolidated confirmations and itemised documentation per traveller and per trip, formatted the way your accounts process wants it.
- No fees. No account fee, no subscription, no booking surcharge. If we do not save you time and money, firing us costs nothing, which keeps us sharp.
- Twenty years of route knowledge. The Australia to India and Asia corridors are where we started (ABN 63 617 339 572, two decades in), and corporate travellers on those routes inherit everything our family travellers taught us about seats, transits and airlines that keep their promises.
Built for businesses our size, not theirs
The travel management giants built their model for enterprises with thousands of trips and procurement departments to satisfy; the booking portals built theirs for nobody in particular. Between them sits most of Australian business, unserved. We are a specialist agency, not a call centre, and we say that with confidence rather than apology. Your account is looked after by the people who own the business. Response times are measured in minutes and hours, not ticket queues. And because our core expertise is Australia to India and Asia, businesses trading in those corridors get route knowledge that no generalist portal can match.
How onboarding actually works
There is no implementation project, because there is nothing to implement. Week one: you email your usual routes, traveller names and preferences (seats, meals, frequent flyer numbers, the colleague who always needs the aisle). We set up the profiles and quote your next trip against whatever you paid last time. Week two onwards: travel requests go to one email address or one phone number and come back as options within business hours, booked on approval, documented to your accounts format. That is the entire system. No portal logins to forget, no software licence, no minimum spend, and no lock-in beyond the quality of the last booking. Companies that later grow into enterprise-scale travel programs outgrow us gracefully; until that day, they get service the enterprise providers reserve for their largest accounts.
Three snapshots of how it runs in practice
The exporter with a Mumbai habit. Two directors, six India round trips a year, dates that move with factory schedules. We hold their preferences, watch wholesale business fares on the Sydney to Mumbai corridor, and rebook without drama when a shipment slips a week. Their old process was an office manager losing an afternoon per trip to comparison sites; the new one is a two-line email.
The consultancy that travels in bursts. Nothing for two months, then five people to Singapore for a fortnight with three days' notice. Group fares, one invoice set split by cost centre, hotels within walking distance of the client, and a consultant on call across the time difference when the schedule reshuffles mid-engagement.
The family business sending its founder home. Corporate travel is not always suits: sometimes it is the semi-retired founder flying to Chennai twice a year, in premium economy for his knees, with wheelchair assistance booked and his daughter cc'd on every confirmation. We handle that with the same seriousness as the board trip, because in a family business it is the same thing.
What it costs the company (the honest arithmetic)
Count what the current process costs before assuming an agent is a luxury. An office manager spending three hours per trip on comparison sites, at any realistic salary, already exceeds what most agencies would charge in fees, and we charge none. Add the fares themselves: wholesale rates on repeat routes compound across a year of travel into the kind of number that shows up in accounts. Add the disruption hours nobody budgets, the cancelled Singapore connection untangled at 11pm, and the arithmetic stops being close. The realistic downside is a booking that would have been marginally cheaper on a flash sale somewhere; the realistic upside is hours back every month, calmer travellers and fares that beat the portal average. That trade is why our corporate clients stay.
The policy question, answered plainly
Most small businesses do not need a travel policy document; they need consistent decisions. Tell us once what the company pays for (cabin rules by flight length, hotel budget bands, who approves exceptions) and we apply it automatically, flagging anything outside the lines before booking rather than surprising your bookkeeper after. When you do want the numbers, per-trip and per-traveller summaries arrive in a format your accountant can file without translation. Governance without the software subscription.
Getting started takes one email. There is no discovery call, no proposal deck and no contract to route through legal, because a corporate account here is simply a standing relationship with a consultant who knows your business. Send your usual routes and traveller count to [email protected] or call 1800 865 126, and we will come back same day with how we would handle your travel and what we would have charged on your last three trips, so you can see the difference before committing to anything.
